Paolo Laganà

2012 Italian drama; title is German slang for "Wop"

Marius is a divorced man in his late thirties. His five year-old daughter Sofia lives with her mother, which causes Marius a deep frustration. On the day Marius arrives to take his daughter on their annual holiday, he is told that she is ill but he doesn't believe it and insists to take her with him. The situation soon gets out of control with all the family taking part in a web of humor, violence, childish songs, police interventions and love statements.

A phone call interrupts the passionate encounter between two young men.

Haunted by the memory of an absent, violent father, Paul moves restlessly through Berlin’s night, drifting into fleeting encounters that only deepen his loneliness.

An attempt to make a thriller film, gives birth to a fragmentary work that evokes this genre's atmospheres in its essence. The lack of a substantial plot and the absence of sound amplify the mystery, inducing the viewer's imagination to rebuilt the missing segments for this 'unfinished film'. As a possible result, questions emerge. Who is the killer? Who is the victim? What actually happened?
