On a New Year's Eve journalist Tanya is setting on a train by her friend, for this removing another passenger. Friend says that Tanya is a surgeon and she's having an important surgery tomorrow. Drunk lawyer Tolia sit down in the same compartment. Train brakes, suitcase puts down and cuts off Tolya's finger. Now Tanya as a surgeon must save Tolya's life.

A war veteran struggles to readjust to civilian life after participating in fierce battles. He finds it difficult to find his place, even at home. After a fight in a pub, he is imprisoned in a military facility and then sent back home, where memories, physical and emotional trauma, and the sounds of war haunt him.

The film takes place during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. After the Kakhovka dam is blown up, a detachment of Ukrainian soldiers led by a female fighter with the call sign Mara finds themselves in a secret Soviet bunker at the bottom of a reservoir where the USSR conducted human experiments during the Cold War. The consequences of these experiments are still in the bunker in the form of the half-living corpses of Soviet soldiers. Now, in order to survive, Ukrainians need to defeat the Soviet zombies, their own fear, as well as overcome internal disputes and trust each other.

Sasha manages a firm that installs tombstones at the local cemetery. His many customers have all experienced personal tragedies, but he is full of cynicism. One day, Sasha's 14-year-old daughter appears to bring him back into her life.
