When Sarah lucks into a sweet one-bedroom at Asilo Del Mar Apartments in Los Angeles, she thinks she's hit the jackpot. After surviving a violent assault, Julia Trujillo, a trans woman, moves to Los Angeles hoping for a fresh start. Alone in a new city, she dives back into dating, only to find herself navigating a series of unfortunate dates with men who see her as a fantasy rather than a person. The story follows crooked cop Dirk (Jake Busey) and his cash-strapped partner Jeff Klima (Felix Merback) as they run a risky, illicit side-hustle cleaning up crime scenes. Things spiral violently out of control when Jeff lifts a mysterious safe from a bloody crime scene, not realizing it belongs to a dangerous drug cartel. At the same time, Jeff falls for Kerry (Brianna Gage), a tattoo artist who is quickly dragged into the crosshairs.
