The film tells the story of two brothers, Ji and Mi, who were separated for many years and found each other after 20 years.

As in the original, a series of comic deceptions and mismatched identities ensue, though all the principal characters have been updated to fit the post-Soviet Azerbaijani context.

As the events unfold, it turns out that Gandab met a young man named Fagan in Baku and they fall in love.
