The innocence and ignorance of youth come alive while the ending suddenly turns into an anti-climax that reveals the bitterness of growing up amidst shattered ideals.

In a fixed sequence shot, the film captured students meeting each other in the hall, in the rooms, discussing, arguing about or remaining indifferent to the event, while it continued to rain outside.

Cheung, perceived as weird and bullied by his classmates for his introversion and odor. Amidst the bullying, he finds solace in the attention it brings, contrasting the typical victim stereotype. His classmate Kwong leads the bullying to mask his insecurities but faces backlash as classmates shift their views. Meanwhile, Yu, who has a longstanding crush on Kwong, finds her feelings unreciprocated, leading to broken bonds and misunderstandings. Their school life is deeply affected by the pervasive bullying, leaving all parties hurt.

Brilliantly played by LAW Ka-ying, the revered Skyblade hails from a prestigious family of Cantonese opera singers. Pressured into performing opposite the sponsor’s child at the celebrated Red Banquet in return for financial support, the reluctant Skyblade is further taken aback when he realises that Jade is a girl slated to play a male lead role in a predominantly masculine cast. However, as Jade’s talent becomes apparent to Skyblade, a bond is formed between the two during rehearsals, and a mutual understanding that both have been sacrificing their dreams and passions out of duty towards the family. When Jade reveals a shocking resolution to take control of her life, it is up to Skyblade to decide their fate on stage.
