Denmark in 1927. The ambitious police officer Otto Himmelstrup leads the newly formed Special Unit, which is tasked with assisting local police in solving particularly difficult crimes. When a body is found in a burnt-out summer house in Esbjerg, Otto and his team begin to unravel an unusual murder mystery, revealing power struggles and corruption among the city’s elite. The closer the unit gets to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes. Soon, Otto finds himself not only battling powerful enemies but also confronting his own dark side in his quest to solve the case.

After a near death experience Lulu ends up at the hospital and from that moment, everything changes in Lulu’s life. Lulu has a feeling that someone or something is after her. At school Lulu bumps into the infamous yet strangely captivating Mads. According to himself, Mads can see dead people including a girl attached to Lulu. A so-called bonded phantom. But does the girl really exist – and if yes, what does she want?

The streetwise and selfish teen Asger gets his world turned up side down when God suddenly speaks to him - letting him know that is sister is going to die, and only Asger can save her.

Ten-year-old Emil lives with his dad in an apartment in Taastrup. Following the death of Emil's mother, his father struggles with the role of single parent. In an effort to deal with this lack of fatherly attention and authority, Emil has come up with a set of strange rules and secret projects.

The film deals with loss of innocence and the danger of exposed secrets.
