Thomas has always had a passion about Japanese warriors called Samurai. His uniqueness in a small community of a village in Crete causes conflict. The villagers' attitude towards him is not good and he's not going to stand and take it for much longer.

Raised in California, the son of a prominent political family, eleven-year-old Alex travels to Crete to be the godfather of a local party leader's baby. He will become a godfather for the first time to prove to everyone, and especially to his father, that he is a worthy son. His foreign appearance, his difficulty with Greek, the peculiarities of the Cretans, and the trials he must undergo to be accepted as the son of the Chief, give rise to a comedy with a political background, existential anxieties, and intense comic-tragic situations.
