During a transvestite ball, a young provincial meets Fanny Legrand. A great love is born between them. Later, the young man learns that Fanny was a great coquette. He leaves her, he comes back, he forgives. But when he embarks for America, Fanny does not follow him.

Hotel des Etudients (Student's Hotel) was the great Tourjansky's sole directorial contribution of 1932. The scene is a Parisian rooming house, catering to students of both sexes. The heroine has a brief affair with a handsome young man, emerging from the experience a little wiser and a lot sadder. Her reputation ruined, the girl seems destined for the oblivion of the streets. But the boy finally realizes the harm he's caused, and in the last few minutes of the film finally does the "right thing." The critical consensus was that the film might have been better had their been fewer fake "exterior" sets and more genuine location filming.

The new bride of a young Viennese is so demanding about her career that she lets him go on the honeymoon solo so she can do an engagement.Left on his own,he finds an unpretentious young lady who suits him better.

In this romantic film inspired by Mädchen in Uniform, two young, independent Amsterdam women win a trip to the Ardennes in a writing contest. Unbeknownst to them, they are followed by an attractive journalist with a camera, after which they both fall in love with him, and they compete with each other for him.

A doctor is married to an overly jealous wife who wants a divorce. He advises one of his very shy patients to take a mistress when he feels attracted to the latter's fiancée. The "sick", meanwhile, feels weaknesses for the wife.

A cabaret singer incites the man who loves her to perpetrate a burglary to avenge the one she loves and to whom the first has wronged. The case goes wrong but its instigator has time to confess before dying.

A repentant alcoholic, Henri is promised to the young Yvonne, but he is in love with Gisèle, her sister and the fiancée of his friend Hubert. They all go on vacation, to the villa of Valentine Bourjeon, the mother of the two young girls. Henri and Gisèle begin an affair which, despite a thousand precautions, is quickly discovered. Hubert seems to be the only one not noticing anything. Mrs. Bourjeon will restore order in the sentimental life of her daughters.

A young man drowning in debts must make a rich marriage to pay them off. But his friend compromises the plan until there is one that she likes and she herself has found a new protector.
