Aleksey Kuzmin

This is a story about the battle for a hospital building in Grozny (Chechnya) in January 1995 between Russian Army forces and Chechen rebels supported by Arabian mujahideen and international mercenaries. Although the story is fictional, most of the characters are based on real-life prototypes and events are the compilation of true events during the Grozny Siege in the First Chechen War.

Italian gambler who is well-skilled in the card trade owes people in authority, and leaves his country to win the money. Arriving in a small Russian town, he tries to show off his tricks to the local card swindlers but is caught and ends up agreeing to a friendship and a cooperation. It is hard not to find oneself liking the gallant Italian.

An American journalist learns of a secret plan to destabilize Russia in order to destroy the United States. All this is called the "RED PROPHECIES" project, but who is behind it? Special services, oligarchs or terrorists?!

Old skipper travels with his old ship called "Fortune" on the Russian river.
