The mining town of Donetsk with specifically difficult mining and geological conditions. To the new chief engineer Marat Zhukov, the mine directorate sets the task to close the dangerous lava, where the Dotsenko team works - one of the best mines has ceased to fulfill the plan. Having made the calculations, Marat discovered the possibility of reaching the normal layer and he was able to convince the authorities that it was not necessary to disband a friendly team.

Bill Starbuck revives lost hopes in people. He comes to them in times of drought and sells the rain, that is, the promise to bring rain. He sets one condition - you have to believe in a miracle. Bill makes Lizzie, the farmer's daughter, believe that she is worthy of love. It really started to rain, and Lizzie's beloved man reciprocated her feelings.

The action takes place in Odessa in the 1970s. Rosa, an Odessa woman, a mother and the head of the household, says goodbye to the Courtyard where her entire life unfolded, because her sons have decided to emigrate to Israel and take the elderly parents — her mother and father — with them. A staunch patriot and war veteran, Semen Margolin is ready to curse his children for such a betrayal, but with the help of his mother Rosa, he is somehow persuaded to make the move.

Back in the thirties, Anton Lutenko was forced to leave Lviv and seek success abroad. His wife died during the war, and his daughter Tanya went missing. Anton found the job he dreamed of abroad and became a famous coach. Italian Julia became his impresario, friend and wife. One day, Anton was brought a Soviet magazine, on the cover of which was a young gymnast, master of sports Tatiana Lutsenko. Anton is flying to Kiev with a team of Italian gymnasts. Exciting days of happy experiences and meetings are ahead...

Summer of 1943, the current of the front. In one of the fierce battles, a T-34 tank is hit. The tank commander Sasha Menshov is seriously wounded. After treatment in the hospital - again the front. On the eve of the big battle there was an order not to enter the battles, to save forces. However, the continuing daring sorties of the fascist tank, which set fire to Menshov's car, lead him to the decision to destroy the German ace. In a duel with Menshov's combat crew the enemy machine is destroyed. This victory was like a prologue to the famous defeat of Hitler's hordes in the tank battle of Prokhorovka.
