A young boy falls in love with his teacher, only to discover a shocking and awkward twist: his main romantic rival for her affection is his own father.

After losing her Filipino mother in South Korea, 5-year-old Mujigae, half-Korean, half-Filipino, finds herself in the care of her estranged Aunt Sunny in the Philippines. As they navigate this unexpected journey, they confront grief, unravel cultural complexities, and discover the transformative power of family and community. Through their poignant exploration, Mujigae learns to embrace change through courage and resilience, finding her place in the world with a strong chance at life.

On the night of the opening of his new exhibit, a queer artist who has just gotten out of an abusive relationship makes a connection with another troubled soul.

There's only one kind of happiness, but misfortune comes in all shapes and sizes. It's like Tolstoy said. Happiness is an allegory, unhappiness is a story.

“School Year 2007” draws inspiration from New Hope Club’s single “Just Don’t Know It Yet”. The short film was produced by Manila-based production house Projects 8 Projects, led by upcoming director Geo Lomuntad. Renowned for their acting in local productions, Filipino darlings JC Alcantara and Kaoiri Oinuma capture the nuances of puppy love and lost love and the bittersweet essence it brings.
