Viktor Gavrilov

The film is about the youth who joined the ranks of the Komsomol in the early 1920s. The protagonists of the film are residents of a small town in southern Russia.

The action takes place during the years of the Civil War in the Urals. It is difficult for the young woman Nadia Korneeva to make sense of the events unfolding around her. Having endured much grief and gone through numerous trials, she decides to join a Red Guard unit.

In the years of his Komsomol youth, the first builders of the city laid out a public garden. And now they strongly object to the decision of the city council to divide the garden into garden plots...

The heroes of the play are the father and son, the Raskatovs, whose lives are marked by the echoes of the past war: the father, a prominent military leader, dies from wounds sustained during the war; the son perishes while disarming a Nazi chemical weapons depot.
