In a post-apocalyptic world, two eternal guardian angels are cursed with mortality after falling for human emotions. Trapped in the ruins of a forgotten theater, they must navigate a surreal battle of love, ghosts, and destiny when a dead actress's spirit possesses one of them.

The year is 1959. The place, Curitiba, Brazil. Private detective John Clayton is hired by the mysterious and seductive Helen Zola to investigate her husband, a scientist with a secret and abominable past. Against the wishes of his faithful friend Vonetta, Clayton accepts the case and gradually finds himself in the middle of a dark plot involving a library created by the legendary Dr. Lucchetti, which harbors the secrets of monsters, vampires and other macabre creatures.

Throughout the night, they are brutally attacked by a mysterious killer who dresses as Joaquim José da Silva Xavier (the historical figure known as Tiradentes) and who harbors a dark secret involving the political course of Brazil over the last decade.
