5.0For Sang-yu, to be rich in Hong Kong means you get to make choices instead of someone making them for you. Hired by giant property developers to buyout ownership of tenement buildings, she earns considerable income and lives the kind of life lauded by mainstream society. During one of the buyouts, she starts to realize the harm her work inflicts upon others. She falls further into a moral dilemma when her boss assigns her a difficult buyout task, a profitable opportunity for her. In Hong Kong where real estate is considered above all else, the grassroots are left to fight for survival in desperation.

One day, a young locksmith, by chance, got hold of a key to a house, which he then sneaked in out of curiosity, as if he was breaking into his own unconscious. After he had played the role of a thief, changes started to take place in his mind.

NRHow far would a man go for money, women and power and who would he betray? How much would a woman sacrifice for love? Nine, daughter of a triad boss, travels to Beijing in a bid to win back her boyfriend, Chung, refuting the suspicion that he’s absconded with the gang’s money. With the camera trained on her wide-eyed face, Nine leads Chung on a whirlwind adventure through the capital’s sinister underbelly where their paths cross with those of low-life thugs, each having a role to play in a clever ruse to ferret out a snitch. With 10 million dollars at stake, emotions are running high and tension is taut and each puff of smoke is harrowing.
One Night in the Capital City

NRIn September 2014, a pro-democracy movement, Umbrella Movement, broke out in Hong Kong, asking for western democracy from Communist China. This film captures different kinds of people involved in this revolution that was deemed impossible to succeed. They will be remembered in history as such. Jeff Kwok's mission was to record this most significant event that’d ever happened in Hong Kong for the last 160 years. From the footages gathered during the movement, what he saw was a kind of romance, one that’s never appeared in the city where only utilitarianism was celebrated. Though beautifully felt, this romance didn’t last long. In this video poem, Jeff wants those people to be remembered like the way they were.
