There is no place for fantasies in the life of lawyer Pyotr Bezuglov. His life is nothing but rules, which he strictly observes. One day, his son Vanechka finds the letters that Pyotr wrote to Santa Claus as a child and puts them in the New Year's mailbox. In the morning, all of Bezuglov's childhood wishes begin to come true and not only Pyotr himself is in danger, but also his family and, possibly, the whole world.

Residents of Honey Valley are getting ready for their favorite holiday - City Day, when all citizens have the opportunity to admire a unique artifact - the Golden Hive. According to legend, it was found by the founders of Honey Valley, and legend has it that thousands of misfortunes will fall upon the town if the Hive disappears. On the eve of the holiday, the Beehive is kidnapped. The squirrel Chink, Sophie's owl detective's assistant, is blamed for this. Cheburashka gradually gets used to life with Gena, but like any growing child, Cheburashka begins to show excessive independence, and sometimes even become a hooligan. They live happily until their peaceful life is disrupted by an incredible event. In the second part, not only the already beloved heroes will remain, but also new, unusual characters will appear.

Against the backdrop of all these events, the effects of an old head injury worsen, and he begins to see the Wolf from the cartoon "Once Upon a Time There Lived a Dog." Sarcastic and brash, he becomes the embodiment of an inner voice and the former athlete's constant companion. It is he who pushes Zhenya to pull off a scam just like in the cartoon. The plan seems flawless: kidnap Titorenko's daughter and then heroically "rescue" her in order to get his job back and restore his relationship with his family.

Based around three of E.T.A. Hoffmann's tales ("Klein Zaches," "The Golden Pot" and "The Sandman"), with the main character being Hoffmann himself, this stop-motion fantasia focuses on the duality between the imaginative universe of his writings and his real-life profession as a government clerk.
