Osijek, Eastern Croatian Front, 1991. British ecologist Henry arrives in town to find and protect the oak in the village of Stari Rastovac, believed to be the oldest of its kind in the world, from getting torn down by both enemy forces and Croatian soldiers. Karlovac, Central Croatian Front, 1991. Three Croatian soldiers try to detonate a Serb civilian's home, but are stopped in their efforts by the homeowner, whom they kill in retaliation. The only witness to the murder is the man's daughter, whom they decide to kidnap to prevent the truth from spreading out and causing political unrest. Nevertheless, the case gets out and, unebenknownst to each other, five different people: a homicide investigator, a medical examiner, a local politician, a reporter and the brother of one of the perpetrators, decide to track the perpetrators down to stop the truth from getting out.

Serafin Skoko grew up on a lonely lighthouse island off of the coast of the Adriatic Sea, with nothing more than birds, the sea and the rocks to keep him company and with his parents constant arguing being the only inkling of human contact. After he reaches adulthood, desperately seeking a way out of his monotony, he enlists into the Austro-Hunagarian army and is stationed in a small continental Croatian town, where he falls in love with Crvena, a beautiful local spendthrift. However, as the shadows of the First World War begin closing in over Europe, he decides to fake insanity in order to avoid military service and is put through the horrors of his homecountry's mental insititutions.

In the mid-1950s, an unnamed convict succsesfully manages to escape from the Goli Otok prison island, seeking shelter in a monastery on the nearby island of Rab and striking a kinship with one of the nuns in it. A few days later, an agent of the Yugoslav State Security Service arrives on the island, desperate to find the man's whereabouts. The nuns and the monks face a decision of their lifetime. Are they going to turn the wounded man they know nothing about to the authorities, or will they continue concealing him and risk their lives in the process?

Eastern Croatian front, sometime during the 1990s. A group of civilian refugees from Vukovar try to establish a somewhat normal life in a camp established on the train station in Sokolovica. One of them is Vinko, a disabled man whose psyche is slowly decaying with paranoia, PTSD and physical pain. After he learns that his wife Jelka had befriended Klaus, a young and handsome German voulonteer, his mind begins to spiral further into darkness.

Summer of 1972, a small group of fanatical Croatian nationalists, trained and equipped by extreme emigrant organizations, infiltrated the territory of former Yugoslavia with intent to organize an uprising against Tito's regime. This series, very loosely based on true events, depicts the manhunt that followed.

The tragedy of human life is read from the personal conflict of man in which there are moments of self-deception, the pleasure of creation and dissatisfaction with achievement, like restlessness and calmness, conflict and catharsis.

The story begins in a small rural village in Ladimirevci, Eastern Croatia in 1943, where a land owner Sima is helping the Partisan Movement and the official Ustasha regime in order to save the life of his son Beneš, who is enlisted in the German army. Sima doesn't want to let his son fight for the wrong side any more, and doesn't want to give him to the Partisans either, so he hides him in his attic for the time being. The story is interwoven with episodes of Sima trying to muster a beautiful stallion - Sokol - who only answers to his son Beneš and clearly doesn't like his old man.

After WW II many young people arrive to Zagreb, among them a young worker Sonja Kacar. She is supposed to participate in the construction of the first generator in the Rade Koncar factory. Because there aren't enough experts and materials in Yugoslavia, the factory counts on help from fellow communist countries, Czechoslovakia and Soviet Union. However, after the Inform Bureau's resolution this help is no longer available. Sonja experiences a great intimate disappointment because Stjepan, who she is in love with, supports Stalin.

TV movie about the life of a middle-aged Zagreb spinster in whose life quietly crept the man to whom she rented a room. Problems start when she realizes that her lodger does very strange and even bizarre job that police will not miss.

In the story, Martin is a schoolboy with a sense of the absurd and a willingness to use ridicule to amuse himself and his classmates. He has an uncle who is high up in the nation's bureaucracy who protects him and his grandfather now that his father has died. His grandfather is too stubborn to give his farm to the local farming collective, and Martin himself is in hot water with the principal for making fun of his girlfriend, one of the students at the high school. However, as long as the uncle is able to protect them, they remain out of hot water.
