Adapted from a ludruk stage play, a traditional East Javanese folk theater known for its abundant comedy. For example, the farewell scene between a soldier and his wife has the audience roaring with laughter. Even funnier is the appearance of Bowo and Rukun, famous comedians from the Ludruk Marhaen troupe. The film also briefly depicts the process by which a man transforms into a woman, revealing the “secret” that a beautiful woman is actually a man. As is well known, ludruk performers are exclusively male.

A sad story enlivened by song. It is worth praising Sukarno M. Noor's performance in his first important role. The use of the title ("Gambang Semarang", which was originally "Eliminate KMB") was only for commercial considerations, because the song title for "tanda" was very popular.
