Sofia Panizzi

A young Roman woman during the 1950s is on the verge of becoming engaged to a man. She goes to Cinecittà to do an audition as an extra and is thrust into this almost infinite night during which she discovers herself.

In Rome, during a January weekend a sudden heatwave arrives. The sun is initially pleasant, but the heat quickly escalates to a frightening degree, resulting in people and animals losing self-control.

After falling from grace and ending up in prison, a failed rock guitarist forms a band with other inmates to win a contest and fulfill his daughter's dream.
