The Hyodo-gumi boss—part of Tendokai, Japan’s largest yakuza syndicate—has been brutally murdered. Kazuma Washio (Hitoshi Ozawa), the head of the Washio-gumi and Tendokai’s wakagashira (underboss), is convinced that Yoshinari Myojin (Sho Aikawa), a former Tendokai wakagashira-hosa now running Tokyo’s underworld of thugs and mafia, is behind the killing. Seeking the "woman of his dreams", Kikunosuke visits Hokkaido and meets Masumi, the only daughter of the Zippi Ranch that raises great racing horses, Okamura, her grandfather, and Yamada, a stable hand who is secretly in love with Masumi. Zippi Ranch is targeted for acquisition by Sengoku Farms, which has constantly acquired small ranches. Naoto, the son of Sengoku, grew up with Masumi and raped her in the past. With the horrible experience, Masumi has become fastidious about sex. Began working at Zippi Ranch, Kikunosuke spends a night with a hostess, Ayumi, whom he met at a club Naoto owns. Sleeping with numerous customers to support the club, Ayumi has been sexually frigid, but Kikunosuke gives her an orgasm with his technique, Kinuta. The sex master, Kikunosuke, stands up to rescue a troubled woman mentally and physically.

Ryuji Inahara, the heir to the Atami Yamazakiya family, subsequently placed the group under the control of the influential members of the Guretai, known as the "Yokohama Four Heavenly Kings," and the Inahara group quickly expanded its influence from Yokohama to the Tokaido region. The world of yakuza then enters the era of Ryuji Inahara and Masao Tashiro, the third generation member of the Yamaga-gumi.

Kurosaki Ken (Namioka Kazuki), the son of Saijo Fund executive Kurosaki Hiroshi (Akai Hidekazu), gets caught up in a dispute between the Sagawa and Kawashima groups, both of which are affiliated with the yakuza organization Kiryu-kai, and is captured by the Sagawa gang along with his friends Ando Tatsuya (Kitadai Takashi) and Hanamaki Daisuke (Isaka Tatsuya). Just as they are about to be killed, Ken's father Hiroshi saves the three. After being persuaded by Hiroshi, the three swear to reform, but Tatsuya is tricked by Mikitani of the Kawashima gang and is nearly killed. Ken accidentally shoots Mikitani while trying to stop him, and is arrested and sentenced to 5 years for attempted murder. While in custody, his father appears to commits suicide and Ken becomes consumed with guilt and doubts about the veracity of his father's murder. Five years later, Ken is released, and begins to look for answers ...

Ryuji Inahara changed the name of the Inahara-gumi to the Inahara-kai, and accordingly unified the emblem of the Inahara-kai. Then, in 1961, Inahara-kai opened a new headquarters office in Roppongi, Tokyo. Further incidents and conflicts await Ryuji and the Inahara-kai.

Denzaburo Kato, the third generation leader of the Horii family whose territory encompasses the Yokohama area, has a dramatic encounter at a certain judo hall with a young man who would later shake up Japan's yakuza society. The man's name is Ryuji Inahara, the future president of the Inahara-kai!

The third 'Front and Back' film.

2nd film in the '任侠哀歌' trilogy. Kurosaki Ken (Namioka Kazuki) burns with a desire for revenge after his father was killed by the Kiryu-kai. With Ken's declaration, Mikitani's scheme became public and the Kiryu Clan disown him. In order to split the Kiryu Clan and set his revenge in motion, Ken first assassinates Kawashima (Fujiwara Yoshiaki). Mikitani mistakenly believed that Kawashima's assassination was the work of Sagawa (Motomiya Yasukaze), and hid from the Kiryu Clan with aims to capture Sagawa. However, Sagawa saw through Ken's scheme and instead uses Mikitani in an attempt to kill him. Just as Ken was planning his next move, a man arrives at his hideout: Ando Tatsuya (Kitadai Takashi), Kurosaki's best friend, and the one whose crimes Ken went down for five years ago ...

Anzai Takashi (Koichi Iwaki), the leader of the Anzai-gumi, enjoys poker at the Kishochokai’s underground casino. Meanwhile, a heated poker duel unfolds between female gambler Himiko (Sayaka Tsuruta) and university student Kota Katori (Shota Haruta). Kota loses, wiping out ¥2 million. Tokunaga (Masami Tate), a half-gangster, schemes to clear his ¥5 million debt by using Kota in a rigged game but gets caught, increasing his debt to ¥7 million. The next day, Tokunaga disappears, leaving Kota to shoulder the debt. Desperate, Kota’s girlfriend, Anna (Mari Yamaji), returns to her family home and explains the situation to her mother, Reiko. Seeking help, Reiko turns to her husband, who is none other than Kawabe Akira (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), the Anzai-gumi’s second-in-command.

A young yakuza experiences various conflicts, tactics, betrayals, rules, etc. in the gangster world, stands out in the organization, and climbs to the top of the organization. The theatrical version of the popular video series adapted from the original work by Murakami Kazuhiko.

Shock and suspicions circulate in the aftermath of the death of the WRC Chairman, and the competition between Umehara (Ozawa Hitoshi) and Tamura (Sugata Shun) begins in earnest. An internal spy was discovered and executed, but rumours of another one circulates the WRC and plagues the guilty conscience of Tadano (Namioka Kazuki). However, the interference of the Chinese Mafia is discovered, and Umehara has suspicions about Tamura's involvement with them ...

Last film of the series starring Hakuryu.

Final film in the '任侠哀歌' trilogy. Kurosaki Ken (Namioka Kazuki) has now lost both parents to the machinations of the Kiryu Clan and his fire for vengeance hits its peak. However, the chairman of the Kiryu Clan, Kijima (Watanabe Hiroyuki), is revealed to have been both a close friend of Ken's father Hiroshi ... and Ken's own biological father. Kijima challenges Ken to a one-on-one duel and allow his son an honourable vengeance, but the Kiryu Clan's captain, Sagawa (Motomiya Yasukaze) interferes to protect Chairman Kijima and shoots Ken in the leg, ending the fight in a draw. Unable to move and but needing to further his plan to dismantle the Kiryu Clan, Ken beseeches his friend Daisuke (Isaka Tatsuya) to visit a certain person: Ishibashi (Sugata Shun), a detective who had been circling around the wild Sagawa. Realising their goals are aligned, Ishibashi shares a vital secret that may finally end Sagawa's rampant violence ...

The 5th film in a 6-part series. After his beloved Ji-hyun (Otsuka Rina) is murdered, Umehara (Ozawa Hitoshi) hides his grief while searching for the spy, armed now with information from the North Koreans. Tadano (Namioka Kazuki), who is indeed one of the WRC embedded spies, is informed by Inspector Sano (Shinsui Sanshou) that his record in the police database has been erased. Meanwhile, Umehara is arrested by Sano at the scene of a transaction with the Hong Kong mafia, and the goods in question are the trigger point where all factions begin to collide and the truth emerges from the wreckage...
