German silent film

Based on the semi-fictionalized autobiography of a trans and intersex person published in 1907 as an anonymous biography under the pseudonym NOBody. A child born without a clear gender is raised by the father as a boy, later by the uncle as a girl and dissected after death.

After searching in vain through Europe for her boy after 1917, a Russian ballerina settles in with a Paris artist, which arouses the ire of the man's model.
