For years, the village has been torn apart by a feud between two irreconcilable families. On one side stands the Šmrha family, on the other the Průša family, and both are convinced that truth, honor, and common sense reside solely with them. Their children, Karel and Marie, however, are secretly in love despite their fathers’ wishes.
