Xin Yao, along with her maid Xi'er, companion Gao Shengwei, and the mysterious wanderer Shi Aoxiang, embarks on a journey filled with deep discoveries about life. Along the way, they confront a series of mysterious murders, each driven by hidden grudges. Yet, no matter the motive, one truth stands firm: breaking the law is never justified. Even the most skilled criminals cannot evade Xin Yao's sharp instincts and the reach of justice. The story highlights that no one has the right to take a life, and true justice can only be served through the law.

This is a secret diary of summer. The entire film is directly animated on time-stamped film, and the improvised painting traces are infinitely magnified through projection and scanning. Summertime collects the emotions that belong to each person’s unique taste and ferments them into small universes, and will eventually disappear with the touch of greenness at the last moment of summer.

Xiao Baiyu is the CEO of the Feng Sheng Department store. He is the illegitimate younger grandson of the Xiao family. He was made CEO when his elder half-brother Xiao Junjiang had an accident and Junjiang resents Baiyu for this. Tong Tong is a reporter who inherited a strange disease from her father – once she kisses a mammal, she becomes a man within three minutes. One day, in order to change back to a woman, Tong Tong kisses Xiao Baiyu in her male form, which starts rumours that Baiyu is gay. To dispel the rumours, Baiyu asks Tong Tong to pretend to be his girlfriend.
