Selamsiz (wich means 'no greeting') is a small town in Anatolia. The town has a lot of problems but noone from governments come and see the town. One day the mayor learns that the prime minister will come to the city. They, now, have a chance to solve their problems. However, they think that they should have a band to greet the prime minister.

Newly divorced Nilgün, a doctor from Istanbul, is sent to a remote small town to practice; where she meets up with long lost friend Havva while treating local prostitutes.

The story of two couples, Ayla and Yadigar and Seher and Hüseyin, who know each other on a journey through the secret history of nudity. This journey begins with two women starting nude modeling in an art academy, beyond the husbands' knowledge. But it doesn't take them long to find it out.

Yasemin, who lives in a small town with her aunt, dreams of going to Istanbul and becoming famous. After some time, Yasemin begins working as a dancer at a restaurant owned by a woman who runs the establishment and also employs sex workers. During this time, she meets a restaurant customer and flees to Istanbul with him. After various adventures, the young man ends up in prison. Left alone in the big city, Yasemin, encouraged by two female friends, begins working as a prostitute.

Onur is a pastry owner who passionately loves making pastries. He makes a strawberry cake everyday but he never sells it. He reserves that cake for the woman whom he will fall in love with. One day, famous actress Burcu Burkan visits his pastry shop for shooting a scene. This meeting gives them an opportunity to cross their paths with each other but Burcu has a secret.

Esther, a Turkish emigrant, was naturalized French and now lives in Paris. Only her daughter Sarah has followed her. The child grows up in a cold boarding school, far from her mother, whose motives and stubbornness she does not understand, especially since Esther no longer visits or writes to her. Sarah thinks she has been abandoned. In reality, Esther, ill from so many hardships, does not want to reveal her condition to her daughter.

Yunus is a man struggling with a past filled with secrets and pain, crushed by a talent he cannot decide is a curse or a gift. A triptych of literary adaptations explores past, present and future in rural Turkey. “Düne Özlem” (from Hulki Aktunç’s Bir Yergöstericinin Hayatı): A once-famed traveling critic returns after years to the cinema that launched his career—and finds it unrecognizably transformed. “Bugüne Özlem” (from Kemal Tahir’s Arabacı): A horse-drawn cart driver picks up two stranger women en route to a village—unaware they intend to marry him off to their spinster relative. “Yarına Özlem” (from Zeyyat Selimoğlu’s Bıldırcınlar): An old captain haunted by a fatal shipwreck readies quail-hunting with his grandson, even as his daughter-in-law waits in vain for her migrant husband to return from Germany. Each segment poignantly probes longing— for what was, what is, and what might yet come.

A movie based on the "N.T. Incident," which was a result of the application of Article 438 of the former Turkish Criminal Code, which stated that the rapist of a prostitute would get less penalty.
