Dostoiewski Champangnatte

No synopsis available yet.

Ângela Cristina, mother of teenager Maria de Lourdes, has to deal with the difficulties and delights of guiding her daughter during one of the most complicated stages of life.

Heir to one of the richest families in Brazil, at the beginning of the 20th century, Jorge Guinle decided from a young age that he would not work a day in his life. A cultured, generous and charming man, Jorginho, as he was known, lived in luxury and wealth, met the most powerful men and most desirable women of his time, and died at eighty-eight years of age by a miscalculation: he didn't imagine that he would stay so long on the planet.

A decadent middle class family. The house becomes a character. Little by little, the rooms are being closed. The characters are expelled and forced to live in common spaces. The mysterious homosexual butler and the family matriarch subvert the incomprehensible relationships there.

In silence, three people share the same house: Ayla, a young Indigenous trans woman, is pregnant; Ferreirinha, a down-and-out accountant, harbors pro-Bolsonaro delusions; Sebastião, a lonely elderly man, is at war with the gardens. Sound trucks, campaign jingles, and evangelical hymns pierce through the walls: the public space outside devours their private lives. Deafening.

A funny view of the drag-queens' shows in the gay clubs of Rio de Janeiro.
