A man from Thessaloniki travels to Athens to punish the swindler who cheated his kind-hearted father. However, he falls in love with a girl and when she becomes pregnant, they decide to get married. When the swindler is murdered, the authorities arrest the young man as the culprit. The confession of the real murderer will free the man seven years later.
