An autobiographical story, set in the city of Grozny in 1994 — its last peaceful year before the outbreak of the First Chechen War, Russia. It follows the life of one family and the tight-knit community of a single courtyard — a place full of warmth, quiet beauty, and the haunting presence of what was to come.

Old classmates finally meet each other after 15 years since graduation from school and that's an amazing opportunity to travel back in time. Old secrets and personal vendettas, hard feelings and first loves turn to fever pitch.

A veteran of the Chechen War is helped by the ghosts of his two fallen comrades to leave the war behind.
