A young man works for a chauffeur company and is given the job of driving the favorite daughter of a Qatari prince who is to undergo an operation in Germany. He and the open-hearted woman grow closer, but then the patriarch's health causes their planned wedding to be brought forward.

Hans is the son of a glassmaker – and deaf. Where his daredevil brother failed, he sets out to free Princess Anna, whom a powerful duke holds captive in a glass cage.

Things aren’t going well for Esteban. His record shop on the outskirts of San Telmo has gone bust. Esteban has had enough. On the bicentennial of Argentina’s independence he decides to call it day and put an end to the shop – and his marriage to Elisabeth. He wants his freedom – for Esteban has fallen in love again.
