Set in the Soviet scientific community, the story follows two dedicated physicists whose close friendship unfolds amid dangerous nuclear research, shaped by their shared affection for a strong-willed woman. Radiation exposure, scientific ambition, and romantic rivalries intersect as the characters confront the physical risks of their work and the personal consequences of their choices.

A number of issues, including his re-election, are postponed until the fall. The harvesting season arrives and the chairman carries out the harvesting in the most difficult natural conditions without losses.

Behind each of the fabricated charges is a human tragedy; together they form a monstrous picture of lawlessness triumphing in the country. However, there are other laws - the laws of conscience, which no power can not cancel and destroy ...

At the age of 18, Tatiana married Maxim, a widower, and became the mother of his three children. But soon her husband dies at the hands of bandits, and her relatives, seeking to take over the household, throw her out of the house. Some time later Tatiana marries Pavel, the father of four children, and by the age of 26 gives birth to three sons. But the war begins and with it come more severe trials....
