In this action comedy the French boxer Jo Cavalier is charmed on the train to Berlin for the Olympics in Hitler's Germany by the little boy Simon Rosenblum who asks his autograph; when it turns out his adorable young fan is a Jewish orphan in danger of persecution, he risks his one shot at Olympic glory to save Simon and his family, helped only by a German officer-gentleman who became his friend in World War I, by an adventurous escape to Switzerland, Nazi troops on their heals and braving impossible odds in roller coaster-style.

In the year 2001 the acclaimed violin vituoso Julian Rachlin founded a festival of chamber music in Dubrovnik. He introduced a new and successful concept of gathering some of the most famous world musicians and letting them play the music that they personally enjoy. In 2008 the austrian filmmaker Georg Riha joined the festival to cinematically accompany the star violinist: Masterly, as usual, and in the highest aesthetics as well as in technical quality, he succeeded with this film composition to tape the magical atmosphere of the city at the sea and the relaxed artistic work of Julian Rachlin and his friends. Teresa and her husband Adam are on a romantic vacation to Taormina, Sicily, intended to cement their reconciliation. But Lorenz, Teresa's young companion through "The Night of Nights," has settled in precisely this place. It's not long before Teresa and Lorenz meet by chance. Adam surprises them, draws the wrong conclusions, and wants to cut their vacation short. Teresa, with her mother's help over the phone, tries to change Adam's mind. As a successful divorce lawyer, however, Adam wants to behave differently than his clients and not stand in the way of their young couple's happiness.

The Time Machine is purchased from an antiques store by a physician from Berlin. Much of the script plays out in one room in the Berlin villa of Dr. Erasmus Beilowski. He and his well-educated friends have an intelligent discussion about the world and the future, with a view to the Time Machine. What to use it for?

The title of the film, set in Luxembourg in 1942, during the Nazi occupation, amalgamates the words Schacko (helmet) and chapeau claque (opera hat). The village, in which it is set, has not yet been feeling the effects of the war at this point.
