David-Isaías, a charismatic but decadent hoax artist, becomes obsessed with impressing legendary filmmaker Mr. Welles after a drunken romantic encounter with Miss Hayworth, the director's wife. To this end, he visits Welles' studio with his latest creation: The Gizmo, a mysterious brass tube that promises to photograph thoughts.

Pedro goes out searching for a girl, but the night doesn't seem to be good. While he is talking with a friend, he sees Sara breaking up with a boy. He goes after her, and they end up sleeping in his house. Time goes by and they continue together. But Sara has too many men around and Pablo can't stand that. Eusebio José Fernández López Reboredo Bergamín is a teenager in the 1960s whose dream is to be a movie director, but General Francisco Franco prohibited in 1964 all types of art. A coincidental encounter with another artist, named Antonio Mínguez, will change his life.

Alessandro, a young, idealistic, and romantic film director, crosses paths with Emma, a perfectionist theatre actress whose dream is to perform on stages across Europe. Their fleeting encounter, portrayed through a non-conventional structure reminiscent of *Bohemian Lights*, reveals that love appears when and where we least expect it. We accompany the protagonists on a journey through a timeless Madrid, filled with colorful characters such as: a megalomaniacal and jealous actor named The Interesting Actor; an obscene film producer called Stefano Clemente; and a priest and a nun searching for anisette. These almost phantasmagorical figures compel the two young protagonists to question their ways of believing and loving.

In the middle of World War II, a German plane crashes in Ibizan waters. The two survivors reach the coast and meet the young Bossa and his friends. Bossa will have to make a difficult decision after getting to know them better.
