Women and men in the middle of the night, without their own clothes, without personal papers and money, without their car keys and mobile phones. In a deserted city the only solution would be, regardless of how far home is, to walk alone all the way there.

"Ciné-Verité" is a self-reflexive movie that questions the underlying forces behind television reporting and, in a broader sense, films of different genres. The main character is a young television employee making her first attempts at reporting. She interviews ordinary people in an attempt to obtain authentic life stories (some of the footage that director Laurențiu Damian includes in the fictional fabric is real), but the idealistic reporter's work is repeatedly rejected by her boss, which eventually leads her to resort to the conventional solution of using a commentary that explains the footage in wooden language.

A barren space. Sand and stone. Dried trees. Everything seems frozen. Strange, right in this deserted place, seemingly belonging to no one... AN OBELISK. The stone blocks animate the space? They almost speak. The dried trees come to life. We enter a fantastic zone where we discover primal creatures fiercely fighting for food. Everything that can be found becomes food. The saving food.
