When the elderly caretaker of a remote morgue discovers the body of a young woman killed during a protest, he embarks on a magical odyssey to give her a proper burial before the militia returns.

In northern Chile, where the desert meets the ocean, a few solitary fishermen have made their home. Despite the arid land, the sea seems to offer them everything they need. It is a fragile balance, since this haven of freedom becomes an arena for military exercises every year.

In 2000, following a century of American occupation, Panama regained control of the Canal Zone territory. A Panamanian soldier enters the old military bases for the first time. While assigned to clean an artificial lake, he stumbles upon a mysterious woman in the jungle. She is revealed to be the former leader of the Culebra community’s resistance who had once fought against forced displacement. Their encounter sparks a journey of personal transformation, forcing the soldier to confront his own roots.

Questioning the suspicious death of his mother, a university professor and his enigmatic gardener descend into a hypnotic maze of mirrors and memories. As family secrets surface and painful truths emerge, they spiral toward a devastating reckoning with the darkness lurking within us all.

Bastian, a young trans boy, has to face a very difficult time in life: adolescence. It becomes even harder when he has to put his best efforts into asserting his individuality. Every year, on Easter, the church inevitably encounters an endless stream of believers, many of whom come here only once a year - on this day. What do they expect from this holiday? What are they hoping for? What are they searching for?
