The second was a singles match for the WWE Championship that saw Batista defend the championship against John Cena. The third was a singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship featured the champion, Chris Jericho, defending against Edge for the title. Money in the Bank was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and WWE Network event produced by WWE. It took place on June 29, 2014 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. It was the fifth annual Money in the Bank event.

Money in the Bank (2011) was a PPV presented by Skittles, which took place on July 17, 2011 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. It was the second annual Money in the Bank PPV. The main event featured john Cena defending the WWE Championship against CM Punk with the stipulation that if Punk won, Cena would be fired. This was due to CM Punk's contract being up the next night, and he was threatening to win the title and leave the company with it. On the undercard, Christian faced Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship with the stipulation that the title could change hands in the event of a disqualification. Also featured were the Raw and SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder matches.

With an attendance of 72,744, it is the 6th largest attendance in WrestleMania history.

Bragging Rights (2010) was a PPV that took place on October 24, 2010 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The primary match of the evening was a 14-man interpromotional elimination tag match for 'ragging right' between the two brands. Smackdown was represented by Big Show, Mysterio, Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Edge, Tyler Reks, and Kofi while Team raw was composed of The Miz, R-Truth, Shaemus, Santino, John Morrison, CM Punk, and Ezekiel Jackson. Royal Rumble is the twenty-seventh annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. It will take place on January 26, 2014 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It will be the first WWE pay-per-view in the 2014 line-up. The main event is scheduled to be Randy Orton defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena with winner by pinfall or submission only. The secondary main event will be the Royal Rumble itself, in which 30 wrestlers compete in a battle royal for a chance at the title at WrestleMania. Also on the card is Brock Lesnar vs Big Show.

TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs was a professional wrestling PPV which took place on December 15, 2013, at the Toyota Center in Houston. The main event was a title unification match between Randy Orton and John Cena in a TLC match for the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship. The titles were hung above the ring with the winner (the first to retrieve them) winning the newly dubbed WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Also on the car was a 3 on 1 Handicap match between the Wyatt Family & Daniel Bryan, The Miz vs Kofi Kingston in a No DQ match, R-Truth vs Brodus Clay, Big E Langston defending the Intercontinental Championship against Damien Sandow, AJ Lee defending the Divas Championship against Natalya, CM Punk vs The Shield in a 3 on 1 Handicap match, and a Fatal Fourway Tag Team Elimination match for the WWE Tag Team Titles between defending champs Cody Rhodes & Goldust and The Real Americans, Big Show & Mysterio, and Ryback & Curtis Axel.

Hell in a Cell (2009) was a PPV presented by Ubisoft's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, which took place on October 4, 2009 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It was the first Hell in a Cell event. Each of the main event matches were contested in a Hell in a Cell match. The main events of the evening included D-Generation X's Triple H and Shawn Michaels versus The Legacy's Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton challenging John Cena for the WWE Championship, and The Undertaker challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. No Way Out (2009) was a PPV presented by AT&T. It took place on February 15, 2009 at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. It was the 11th event under the No Way Out name and featured talent from the Raw, SmackDown and ECW brands. The main event on the Raw brand was an Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship between John Cena(c), Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, Edge, Mike Knox, and Kane. The predominant match on the SmackDown brand was an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship featuring Edge(c), The Undertaker, Triple H, The Big SHow, Jeff Hardy, and Vladimir Kozlov. The event featured a Bellator Lightweight Championship bout between the champion Michael Chandler and current Bellator Featherweight Champion Patrício Freire.

Survivor Series (2009) was a PPV which took place on November 22, 2009 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.. It was the 23rd annual Survivor Series event. There were two matches that were deemed the main events of the program. The first was the triple threat match featuring The Undertaker defending the World Heavyweight Championship against the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho and The Big Show. This was also followed by the another triple threat main event match with John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Four matches comprised the undercard of the event. The first was the team of WWE US Champion The Miz, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger, and Dolph Ziggler versus WWE IC Champion John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Finlay, and Evan Bourne.
