There's not a lot of fires to fight in one of the rainiest cities in America, leaving the crew at the Tacoma Fire Department tackling the less glamorous elements of the job. Light on blazes that need extinguishing, this squad keeps itself entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries, and bizarre emergency calls.

Between 1944 and 1945, the Canadian Army was given the important yet deadly task of liberating the Netherlands.

Eamon (Bazuk), a disillusioned college dropout, decides to take the low road, working as a gas station attendant in rural Ontario and purposefully keeping to himself. The narrow life he has prescribed for himself is disrupted by Daisy (Leroux), a lonely, hearing-impaired girl with a persistent crush on him.
