Aei movie begins with Sakthivel (Sarath Kumar) selling electrical accessories along with his friend Palani (Vadivelu) leading a peaceful life at Palani. He comes across Anjali (Nameedha) and falls in love with her.Sakthivel's past is made to unfold in a flashback. He is a military officer who joins his friend Mani (Kalabhavan Mani) on a vacation. The duo decides to reform the society and cleanse the police department by taking as hostage a few corrupt police officers.

When Gemeni, a gangster, falls in love with a girl, he tries to reform his ways. Things change when a new police commissioner is transferred to the city, who plans on ending all criminal activities.

The movie revolves around sexual harassment occurring at work. This movie is loosely based on the Hollywood movie "Disclosure" starring Michael Douglas and Demi Moore. The film is the story of Kamini (Namitha) getting back at her ex lover Santhosh (Srikanth) by reentering his life as the wife of his boss, played by Nasser. Srikanth plays the creative head of a television channel Teen TV (though it does indulge in political exposes), who is married to debutant Hemamalini.

Naan Avanillai (English: I'm not him) (2007) is a Tamil film directed by Selva. It is a remake of K. Balachander's classic of the same title, starring matinee idol Gemini Ganesan, which was a remake of 1962 Marathi language film To Mee Navhech (English: I Am Not Him), written by Pralhad K. Atre and acted by Prabhakar Panashikar. The thriller movie has Jeevan in the lead role and Sneha, Namitha, Malavika, Jyorthirmayi and Keerti Chawla as his five heroines. This movie created great expectations in the industry, because it was a hit when it was originally made in 1974. Shooting began in December 2006 and it was released in April 2007. The film became a success upon release.
