Werner, a stubborn and secretly romantic widower, would die in solitude if it weren’t for Teresa. Although the two elders already have their everyday rituals for dealing with solitude, and the vicissitudes of old age, lately Teresa seems aloof, unhappy. To cheer her up, the old man prepares a celebration in their house, but he has a problem: almost all of their friends are dead. While Werner struggles to get everything ready, and Teresa gets dolled up, someone else is helping them with “the guests”.

Adrián (12), the son of a Venezuelan domestic worker, goes on an outing with the children of his mother’s employers. They get lost in the forest. Back at home, Adrián feels ostracized from the rest. This feeling leads him through a dreamy and voyeuristic journey of belonging.

Celina, a homeless and rootless woman, wanders around stealing objects, only to have something of her own that is still alien. Through the objects she steals, she establishes magical links with other characters, becoming involved in parallel stories from which she cannot escape.

While a gamer uploads a testimonial video to denounce the harassment she suffers in a video game, a stranger enters her home and hacks her computer, blurring the boundaries between the real and virtual worlds.

Freeing himself after spending a hundred years trapped in a glacier, the ghost of the filmmaker Lucien Castelnau wanders through a futuristic Patagonia, where technological progress clashes with forgotten stories. Unable to rest while his cinematic legacy remains unseen, he crosses a world that has deleted him from its memory, in search of a place in history and of spectators, who can finally bring his lost work back to life.

Lucía and Valeria take out three Tarot cards that reveal the first two dishes of a menu that takes them from Embún, Spain to Llanquihue, Chile; the towns of their grandmothers. Among improvised still lifes, maps and video calls, the friends try to discover the meaning of the third card through a ritual that connects both continents.
