Colorful characters of various ages, personalities, professions, and hobbies are all searching for happiness, though each in a different place and with a different outcome.

Four fathers meet in the secondary school gym, where the headmistress has summoned them after a bag containing a suspicious white powder was found amongst their sons’ belongings during a skiing trip. Each of them arrives with different excuses and the conviction that it is their child who is innocent. What’s more, the headmistress knows that a local councillor is trying to secure her job for his mistress, and she suspects that the whole situation is part of a campaign against her. The meeting thus quickly descends into a series of misunderstandings, accusations and increasingly absurd situations. One afternoon that spirals completely out of control for everyone involved.

Veronika and Mirek try to revive their relationship with a horror-themed Valentine’s trip to the Slavkov Forest, known as the “Knot of Evil.” The tour group includes anxious guide Alex; Ludmila, a detective novel fan sent by her kids; Honza, an extroverted gay journalist seeking a big story; and David and Dana, a married couple who reflect what Veronika and Mirek fear becoming. The bus visits historic massacre sites that seem unimpressive at first, but after Veronika discovers a strange doll, eerie changes unfold. Tensions rise as the travelers’ darker sides emerge—fear, aggression, and suspicion lead to growing hostility. A haunting cry echoes through the woods, suggesting the presence of a mythical being tied to the Slavic legend of the Navka, a spirit from the realm of the dead.

Welcome to Rozumov—a village where everyone knows everything about everyone else, where neighborly feuds are passed down from generation to generation, and no scandal stays hidden behind closed gates for long. For years, the village has been torn apart by a feud between two irreconcilable families. On one side stands the Šmrha family, on the other the Průša family, and both are convinced that truth, honor, and common sense reside solely with them. Their children, Karel and Marie, however, are secretly in love despite their fathers’ wishes. When Marie, after yet another family spat, agrees to participate in the reality TV show Blind Wedding, she causes quite a stir in Rozumov. Karel is distraught, the parents are furious, and a TV crew—along with an eccentric Swedish metalhead—arrives in the village. So, in a haze of alcohol, Šmrha and Průša call an unexpected truce and devise a plan to save their children from a televised embarrassment: they’ll secretly marry them off by proxy.

The film intertwines several stories connected by one important football match between Sparta and Slavia.
