The smart but naughty farmhands son's eternal mischief, pranks and disobedience drive his elders (especially teachers, family and father's grumpy employer, a rich farmer, but also neighbors and even the kind curate whose liturgical server he is) and classmates to despair in a time when a boy's punishment was still inevitable, swift and often severe; thus when his mother catches him skinny dipping she takes all his clothes home, forcing him to a long walk of shame, dreading dad's wrath all the way. This version also stresses the story's social and Flamingant aspects.

The greedy commissioner eagerly presides over the annual cake competition. A Hells Angels party arrives and demands the prize, a golden cake pin, without even entering a cake. An attempt to arrest them gets Toby and Migrain tied-up. Mega Mindy comes to their rescue, but has to retreat when grandpa's Bliep transporter breaks down. Its unique fuel is exhausted, so transforming again is out of the question.

A batch of bottles of gold liqueur (also known as Bruidstranen) containing the original drink mixed with clandestinely distilled, toxic methyl alcohol is put on the market. One bottle is purchased by a couple on their way to a wedding party. During the wedding, the television in the kitchen next to the reception hall is showing images of the port of Antwerp, where three sailors have died after drinking from a bottle of gold liqueur. The police launch a manhunt for the perpetrators and the remains of the batch.

However, the train is located in a barn where businesswoman Katharina and her architect Pepijn want to build an office complex. They want to get rid of the barn, but Grandpa Fonkel and his friends don't want to sell it. Katharina comes up with a criminal plan. We follow the small-time con artist Max and a white Lancia. The Lancia belongs to his mistress Lysette. Secretly renting out the Lancia to foreigners brings in a lot of money. Until it is used in a hit-and-run accident. And so Max ends up in a world of extortionists, gamblers, and blackmailed politicians.
