Laura is a forty-three year-old actress, married to a man ten years younger who used to be her fan. She became widely known when she played a part in a soap opera in a big TV channel. After the end of her contract, Laura becomes severely depressed. A curious little girl enters the Royal Portuguese Office of Reading attracted by its grandiose façade.
