It has been claimed that the series was axed partially because Anglia was one of ITV's smaller companies, with relatively little power within network negotiations; some have claimed that a lingering resentment over this was the reason why Anglia was still showing Emmerdale Farm out of peaktime after all other regions had moved it into the peak hours.
