A sentimental story of a shy dreamer waiting in Prague at night for the girl of his dreams.

Our story begins years later. A grand engagement is being planned in the kingdom. The prince has come of age. The time has come for him to marry the daughter of a neighboring country. An ancient royal promise must be fulfilled! However, the prince has little desire to marry. He is more interested in the surrounding forests, the stream, the birds, and above all, freedom, than in court etiquette and his own wedding. The young man does not change his behavior even when the beautiful princess arrives at the king's invitation. However, she soon realizes that she and the prince are not suited to each other. They only agree on one thing—they both want to defy the king's promise. But how?

The film thematically follows the stories of the TV series "30 cases of Major Zeman". We can meet Major Zeman again with Lieutenant Colonel Zitny, Major Hradec and Lieutenant Gajdoš. The film is set in 1972 in a South American country and shows the activities of an international counter-revolutionary headquarters, which the central character of the film - Major Hradec - uncovers even at the cost of his own life. The film was largely shot in Cuba. The film is an edited version of the series episodes 27 and 28 "Messages from an Unknown Land" and "Hostages in Bella Vista".

A few weeks in the life of the family of an attractive woman, the TV presenter Magda, her second husband and her teenage son. The last winter of the Second World War in the Beskids. To escape the bombing, eight-year-old Dagmar is taken by her mother from Prague to a mountain village. From there, they take the narrow-gauge railroad to school...

Wartime events from a child's perspective were a popular theme during the previous regime - here it is a twelve-year-old village boy who experiences dangerous situations with retreating Nazi troops in picturesque South Bohemia... Any attempt to achieve a more believable depiction is destroyed by the staging's grandeur, and in the end the result is an awkward piece, suitable at most for celebrating the relevant national holidays. The story of how it turned out when a young lawyer tried to intellectually elevate a cute dancer from Prague's bohemian milieu. Journalist Šmíd introduces his long-time lover, a cheerful but simple girl Fanynka, to his friend, a young lawyer. He decides to take good care of the girl, buying her gifts and even furnishing her with a nice apartment. When he is called up to the army, he asks his friend Šmíd to look after Fanynka for him. After all, he himself intends to employ her and educate her intellectually. He gives her the task of reading serious literature once a week, about which the girl is to give him extensive testimony in a letter. But Fanynka soon starts to get fed up with the intellectual diet...

This feature film based on the events of 1938 is a chronicle of the futile efforts of the Czechoslovak president Edvard Benes (Jirí Pleskot), politicians and ordinary citizens, to save the independence and the territorial integrity of the state from the advance of Hitler's Germany. On the 29th of March 1938 the leader of the Sudeten Germans Henlein (Werner Ehrlicher) has a meeting with Hitler (Gunnar Möller). Hitler orders him to intensify pressure on the Czechoslovak government. On the 24th of April in Carlsbad, the Sudetendeutsche Partei (Sudeten German Party) decides upon eight demands that are unacceptable to the Czechoslovak President, since they would ultimately lead to the break-up of the Republic. Benes still shows a certain willingness to negotiate, and Henlein resents this. The Germans are determined to make further negotiations impossible through incidents and violence.

In the Prague Old Town and the adjoining streets there is always plenty of life. Housewives shop, beggars arouse sympathy, the Salvation Army tries to put the godless on the road to salvation by hymns and sermons, and Ferdys Pistora hunts in the pockets of his fellow men and isn't even put off by the presence of an officer of the law. Ferdys sets off to burgle villa of the banker Rosenstok, but a fire breaks out in the house and Ferdys ends up saving the banker's two small children. For this he is celebrated as a hero and gets a place as an errand boy with the Rosenstoks. At home he is visited by representatives of the Salvation Army, Captain Kosterka and Terezka, with whom Ferdys instantly falls in love.

The life of the famous French writer Alexander Dumas the Elder. Screenwriter Jaroslav Dietl did not hide his admiration for this literary giant, and in addition to the screenplay he also wrote a three-part TV play about Dumas (starring Vladimír Menšík). In Kachyn's film, Dumas played the father and son of the Štěpánková brothers, and it was a very difficult and difficult task for these young actors.

At the centre of the story is Miss Lenka Stříbrná. An attractive, but a little strange young woman. The gym teacher Vasek is shy and very clumsy with women. Shortish forty-year old Ludvík Podzimek, lute and flute player in a Prague orchestra, is far from being an attractive man. He is nevertheless generally considered a great 'Don Juan'. A dramatic story from the setting of a youth de tention center. Youngster Jakub, out of delusory solidarity, gets convicted of theft and goes to prison in place ofthe "sheriff" of his gang. He naively hopes that the sheriff will appreciate his gesture and leaves the stolen goods in a safe hideaway to later divide them fairly among the gang members. This conviction gives Jakub the strength to endure the unbearable conditions in the center. But reality is often much harsher than naive ideals and hollow relations in the gang.
