Dark satire about bare-knuckled capitalism in the immediate post-Cold War era. Set just as the Communist government is collapsing, the film focuses on the brutish Racz, the handyman in a Bratislava hotel. Knowing that his job is insured for life, Racz turns off the building's heat and demands food, money, and sex to have it restored. The film is narrated by a pimp named Urban who explains that people in the former Czechoslovakia were so used to being abused that they simply put up with Racz's corruption. By the end of the film, Racz's fortunes have changed considerably. Instead of being a lowly worker, he is now a ruthless and wealthy businessman, unafraid to kill or kidnap those who get in his way.

When a person wants to breed racehorses, it's not just a job. You have to literally commit yourself to it. The unnecessarily overcomplicated action story has educational tendencies, as it is mainly aimed at young people - and they need positive role models.

Jazz musician and trumpeter Beno is originally Slovak, but has been living in Prague for a long time. As a true bohemian, he does not recognize any limitations in his personal or artistic life. He is devoted to jazz with body and soul and despises any form of pop music. That is why he rejects the lucrative offers of his girlfriend, the successful singer Gábina. He also successfully faces the pressure of his much younger girlfriend-to-be and her defiant mother. Beno often has to pay for his tricks, but he accepts this with open eyes. Beno is ably supported by his friend, saxophonist Emil, known as Rampouch.

In the TV fairy tale based on P. Dobšinský's story, we witness the journey of a young man from the village who longs to know the world. On his journey he wanders into an enchanted land guarded by a strange grandmother - a shepherdess. The young man's smile and the manners his parents have taught him charm her soul so much that she helps him reach the royal palace, where the royal parents neither live nor die - but the punishment for their relationship with people and the world is, above all, the petrification of their daughter. Only the one who overcomes the three-headed bossor in dance and other tasks can free them from the curse. Our hero decides to help them...

While searching for a criminal, investigators find themselves in a series of dramatic and dangerous situations. The risk is even greater when the dangerous man is not being tracked by a professional team of criminal investigators, but by a private individual. This is the case of journalist Gavlas, who finds himself in a dangerous situation while performing his profession. Anonymous threatens him with death if he does not abandon his profession. Gavlas must deal not only with the problem of his personal attitude towards the principles of the journalistic profession, but above all he must uncover and neutralize a hidden adversary.

František Cepl is a young man from a simple family. He graduated from a real school and was going to study technology. When the occupation came, he had to work as a factory assistant. There he meets an older man named Telec, whom everyone knows as Hrabě. He impresses František with his ostentatious disdain for work and his shameless flirtation with women. František, whom the Count calls Papilio (butterfly butterfly), is filled with youthful ideals, while the Count, on the other hand, is an extract of the crudest individualism. He has worked his way up from a student at a business academy and a theatre actor to a member of a pre-war gallery. He blackmails, steals, drinks, abuses women and, in a way, Papilio himself.

Ivan Hálek, son of the famous poet Vítězslav Hálek, studied medicine and devoted his life to the Slovak countryside. In the poor Kysuce region, he not only treats the local villagers, but also makes an extraordinary contribution to education. At the same time, he struggles with lingering superstitions and mistrust. However, the hero and his young wife also become acquainted with folk customs, songs, and the colorful culture of the poorest. And he proclaims that only those who rid them of terrible mass poverty can provide these poor people with true living water.

There was such a kingdom, there was such a king, who took the advice of stupid and ungrateful people and issued an order that all old people, under threat of death, must be disposed of by his subjects. But in that kingdom there was also one brave man who did not give in to threats and orders and secretly continued to take care of his father with love and respect. And it was his grandfather's advice that saved the kingdom and perhaps all ungrateful and selfish people will come to their senses even today through our fairy tale.

February 1948. The struggle of decisive social forces for the heart of Europe.

The life of the Ťapák family is joyless. Twelve of them live in one room, no one considers that it is possible to live differently. They have already gotten used to it - they have no desire to change anything - after all, it has been that way for a long time. The heaviness of the Ťapák house is only disturbed by the bride Iľa, Paľ's wife. She is a midwife in the village. But they only want one thing - to have peace, quiet. This is how it goes day after day. Without excitement, slowly, with a bitter, almost imperceptible relationship to each other and to life in the village. The tension is only brought here by Ilina's efforts for change, to which the family members no longer even react. The smartest of the family is Anča. However, she does not want to become Ilina's companion. Both legs have been crippled since childhood, so she only watches her sister-in-law's activities with envy.

The detective case of Captain Jakubec and his colleague Lieutenant Michalek takes place in a small town where the auditor Burian dies after drinking a health syrup. The doctor concludes that it was a heart attack. However, the exhumation of the corpse confirms the suspicion that Burian was poisoned. The auditor's young wife and her lover are the primary suspects. Other candidates for the role of the perpetrator include the manager of the café Orlovský, who asked Burian to destroy the falsified statements in exchange for a bribe, and the managers of two stores where the shortage was discovered. Slovak partisans, bravely fighting against Nazi superiority, would never have succeeded to such an extent if they had not been supported by the villagers. Despite the threat of repression, it is the villagers who care for the wounded, hide them, and behave conscientiously. Although the film was made in the late 1960s, it fully adopts the patterns of partisan stories, perhaps the only thing it can be credited with is a more developed sense of authenticity in the story, characters, and setting.

Three friends, Emil, Vrabec and Mišo, spend every Sunday playing the lottery, each nursing a personal dream: Emil wants a Jawa 250 motorcycle, Vrabec hopes for a Pionier scooter and Mišo imagines funding a world tour. Frustrated by constant losses, they decide to maximize their stake in the next draw, convinced that more money will tip the odds in their favor. Their plan takes an unexpected turn when they meet attractive Eva Dvorčíková on a televised variety show - Eva has long been Mišo’s unspoken crush. To determine who will have the right to win her affection, the friends agree to draw lots, putting their bonds and ambitions to the test.

This dramatic story is situated in the town of Trnava of the 18th century. Painter Peter paints an altar-piece of the Martyrdom of St. Juliet and his model is a young girl. This is much disliked by the clergy who unjustly accuse the girl of witchcraft. She is saved from being burnt at a stake by the students of the Trnava University.

Historical satire from the first half of the 19th century, which captures the decay and decline of the landed estate. The impoverished peasants still seem to adhere to the old principles of peasant honor and glory, but the elections will show how easy it is to buy knightly qualities.
