The melodramatic romantic story of young Germinie, who has always longed for love and understanding, but has missed out on much in life. Majka "Chatterbox" is a girl entering adolescence. She was born with a minor disability. While her mother keeps scolding her for the way she walks, her classmates mock her and call her a "duck". Along an innocent first love affair and a secret friendship, she receives little understanding from her parents and lots of malice from her schoolmates. Majka finds refuge with her grandmother and in her own fantasy world.

For Captain Strelková, this is the first major case of her career, and it is all the more difficult because the investigator has to make her mark in a world that has been the domain of men until now...

An unknown young man cuts several girls with a razor on the street. The victims only remember that the perpetrator was wearing a hat with a pompom, like many men wear. There are also many suspects. The investigator of the case, Captain Hroncová, is in a difficult situation, especially after another crime occurs. This is the murder of her classmate, whom the perpetrator even warned about his intention by phone. The captain, risking her life to uncover the murderer and, with the help of her colleagues, eliminate him...

A chronicle of dramatic events capturing the fates of people living in a Slovak village just after World War II. Thirty years later, the main character Anna recalls a decision that fundamentally changed her life. During the period of incipient collectivization, she chose happiness and a difficult life with a poor man founding a cooperative in the village, although this significantly weakened her relationship with her own mother and at the same time interrupted a long-standing tradition in relation to the preservation of family property.
