Russia, 1917, WWI. This is the story of the 1st Russian Women's Battalion of Death, formed as part of an ill-conceived propaganda ploy by the Russian Provisional Government in late May of 1917.

Igor Lebedev is the finance director of large corporation. He commits murder of the accountant who knew about his dirty frauds and tried to restore justice.

Boris is called up for military service in a "hot spot". His bride Larissa, soon receives a letter stating that he was missing. A friend of Boris Nikolai, who was secretly in love with Larissa begins aggressively courting her and finally makes a proposal. The girl is forced to accept it.
