The inventor is afraid his new invention will be stolen, and thus Sventon brings it to Paris where it gets stolen.

This black-and-white Norwegian film is a great rarity: a film with comic elements set in a mental ward which does not overstep the bounds of common sense or good taste.

Klara, the girl he loves, walks away from him, and Jenny becomes his new girlfriend. Together with Hugo and Elsa, these four make a number of smuggling trips by car - with big profits - but it's not enough. So Ernst invests in boats, and that's when the really messy smuggling starts. He operates in the entire Oslo Fjord, all the way down to Rotterdam, pursued by police and customs, with his infamous torpedo boats. We follow Ernst all the way to the so-called Bygdøyslaget, where smugglers and police brutaly clash together.

A deckhand, Rolf Just Nilsen, is mistaken for pop singer Dickie Dons, also played by Rolf Just Nilsen, aboard the car ferry from Kiel to Oslo. The deckhand quickly settles into his new role and enjoys drinking champagne with the captain. However, things become more difficult as time goes on – not least because Dickie Dons turns out to be secretly married to his secretary.

Stein Oscar Magel Paus-Andersen (ST.O.M.P.A.) starts at Langåsen boarding school in Stakavik, where he meets his new friends Bodø, Bergen, Nøtterø and Sørlandet. They find themselves tangled up in troubles with a spider, a fire drill and a swimming contest leading to detention.

It is midsummer in Oslo. There is intense activity on pier 1 just before the fjord boat is about to depart. The pier is crowded with people: families going to the countryside and fathers staying behind at home. Mrs. Rigmor Sande and her two children, Vesleper and Titten, are already on board and standing by the railing. Dad Per Sande, the soon-to-be grass cutter, is frantically searching for the family's suitcase, which has gone astray. The moorings are released and the boat is ready to depart. The men are also accompanied by Ellen. Per and Ellen develop warm feelings for each other.

Student Tom Polden lives in difficult conditions at home. His mother lives constantly on the memories of her deceased husband. Her little hat shop is rather poor and the economy is peal. Tom constantly hear about the magnificent father, and becomes a big blow when he overhears his father shot himself because he had embezzled a substantial amount of money.

At a high mountain hotel in Norway, porter Poppe tries to do the best he can for the guests with an often unhelpful piccolo Rudolf. This, however, leads to a lot of problems, and Poppe thinks some of the guests behave inappropriate.

But now he wants to relax, and together with his grandson Lille-Bertram and his caretaker Ole Gliset, he mans the houseboat Caroline 11 and travels to Hankø. The police have just received alarming reports of widespread smuggling – probably based in the outer Oslo Fjord – and a trusted investigator, Reidar Nissen, is sent on vacation to Hankø.

The story takes place in a hedmark built during some summer weeks.
