Greasy hair; grooved and unshaven face; emanating alcohol fumes. Raúl just doesn't care anymore. In the opening scene of Death Inhabits at Night, the unemployed writer pours himself another glass of cheap wine as an upstairs neighbour leaps to his death. His girlfriend is clearly more upset by the incident. A little later, she finds a letter by the door reminding them to pay the rent or be evicted. Raúl shrugs and suggests going back to bed. But all of this dismissiveness changes following a meeting with a troubled young girl.

"JMB, O Famigerado" is an audiovisual bricolage assault featuring the subject-object Jomard Muniz de Britto—an organic/outsider bricoleur in his seventies who guides the viewer through the city of Recife, filmed both comfortably and uncomfortably by an imperious vampire filmmaker.

The documentary explores the characteristics of Geração 65, a literary movement that emerged in the city of Jaboatão (Pernambuco) in the 1960s and held significant regional importance. It presents an overview of the writers of that era who left their mark on the Pernambuco literary scene.

It is there that Bhrendo Barbosa, dancer, choreographer, designer, marker and quadrilha manager finds the tools to make his dreams come true. Raised by his grandmother, D. Maria, he grew up going up and down the stairs of the hill, while rehearsing the steps to make a difference for the community, without giving up who he is.

Mr. Cavalcanti is a man in his nineties with iron health. After a setback that deeply challenges him, he embarks on a journey to regain his independence and social standing.
