In 2040, Ruskosmos opened the Sunset-1 lunar station in order to protect the Earth from a dangerous asteroid. The new structure was headed by the eccentric Irina Tsvetkova, who had equally strange employees under her command: the dim-witted major Slava, the boorish pilot Sofia, the clueless engineers Yurich and Roma, and other specialists who had not found a place on their native planet. The usual way of life at the station is being changed by astrophysicist Venera Myshkina, who learns that in fact the team is not saving the world, but illegally extracting helium-3.

The year is 1994. Volodya Yakovlev, a graduate of the Higher school of Militia, is assigned to Rublevka. The operative always works in conjunction with the investigator, and that's how Yakovlev gets to know Gudkova — even then very strange, but not so lost to the world. Together they investigate important, but rather dubious cases — they are looking for a gang of pirates filming the second parts of cult action films, then they find out who stole the suitcase with the "MMM" tickets. Yakovlev's brother helps them in this, who knew as a teenager that he would have to work in the security service, and not in some kind of militia.

Oleg works in the police and knows the intricacies of the work of an operative firsthand, so everything he sees in TV series makes him smile only. But when the hit of the season "Falcon" is shown in the evenings, he grinds his teeth in anger. After all, in the main role of Major Sokolov is his narcissistic brother Lyosha. All Oleg's family and friends are crazy about the hero Lesha. If they only knew that Lesha borrowed all the best for his character from his older brother.
