Jeff Powers is the newest member of a very elite and very secret LAPD division. Their mission is to target important criminals and to get them to stop. Police brutality is not a known term for the division and they will stop at nothing to get the job done, even if it means murder.

In the 1950s, guitar-playing drifter Dude Delaney wanders into a quiet town looking to play music and generally cause trouble, much to the chagrin of the local sheriff, known as Sarge. While palling around with his B-movie-obsessed friend Nixer, Dude meets the beautiful Donna, and is offered a position in a rockabilly band, but the sheriff is intent on getting rid of him by any means necessary.

Mario Dante (Robert Conrad) is a crime boss in the mafia, He inherits a mob of his own, when his nephews and niece have to come and live with him. Along with Alice (Ann Jillian) his girlfriend, they stumble through mishaps and learn to love each other.
