When a boy child is stolen by bears who raise him as their own, his human parents hunt the bears in despair, and the boy is faced with the dilemma of who and what he is.

Fagin is the bad bird of an otherwise idyllic forest. He assaults the nest of two wrens and destroys all their eggs except one that, when hatched, is adopted by an owl (patterned on W. C. Fields). A counter-offensive against Fagin is launched with help enlisted from a seagull named Armstrong, two nice mice and a sparrow. Everyone knows the animated heroine Cirkeline and her mousy friends Ingolf and Frederik. For generations they have been enjoyed by children and their parents. But few people know the woman who invented Cirkeline. Her name is Hanne Hastrup, and like many other women, she lost her place in the spotlight to a man – but in this case, to her own husband, artist and animator Jannik Hastrup. They found each other and began collaborating on the famous Cirkeline films, and now they sit side by side on a sofa and tell the story of the creation of the icon in the red dress with the black spots.

The mini beetle Mini appears in a flea circus together with Egon and Dagmar. The flea-girl Miranda bullies Mini and tricks him into interfering in Dagmar's line dancing, making her fall and sprain her foot. Deeply ashamed, Mini runs away and meets a gang of robbers. Hanne Hastrup created Cirkeline and her universe. She also drew everything, while Jannik Hastrup animated and produced it. Together, they wrote all the stories. They were produced with support from DR TV B&U department by Mogens Vemmer from 1968 to 1970.

Silke just loves water. She loves to bathe and to swim like a fish. As a matter of fact, she only feels fit and well when she is in the water. This is because she has an eczema which makes her skin itch. Her father and mother are worried about her and take her to the doctor. But strange things happen, and a dolphin, a dog and an old, long ago deceased pirate-grandfather emerges in the story. This is because Silk is not like other children - especially not when she hears the song from the sea.

Cirkeline, Frederik and little brother are playing trains and travel around the world to America. Here they are met by unrest, police states and a black mouse who is a member of the Black Panthers. The mouse, who we never see, tells of racial hatred and persecution of black people. Little brother disappears in the big city, but Cirkeline and Frederik ally with some Indians to find him again. The soldiers open fire, also on Frederik and Cirkeline. Fortunately, it turns out that the soldiers are plastic toy soldiers that you can just push over, and the Indian chief is Ingolf. Fortunately, it was just a game.
