A father and son have nothing in common except a first name, Richard, and an apartment on a housing estate. The burly, good-natured, 30-something factory worker listens to heavy metal and occasionally lets his girlfriend into his life. The frail, retired teacher, who raised the boy after his mother’s departure, is the embodiment of care and understanding. However, their tranquil, shared reality, which embraces both the hardcore band Našrot and Bergman’s “Cries and Whispers,” is disrupted by the sudden death of the mother. Young Richard sets out on a peculiar initiation journey with bizarre encounters and moments of unexpected enlightenment.

A theatrical adaptation of Jiří Křižan's screenplay performed by the Mahen Theater in Brno, which premiered on October 9, 2015. A drama set in the summer of 1943 in the Moravian village of Lakotice, where farmer Baran flees from the Gestapo. Helenka, a textile industrial student, invents an ideal man who is the envy of all her friends. The dreamy and delusional Helenka resists her complexes with an imaginary lover, her more realistic friend Zuzka would also prefer the dreamy Patrik, but in the end she will probably be happy with the less ideal Honza, and the self-confident vulgar nymphomaniac Sylva flies from one lover to another like a butterfly, finally as she was the only one waiting for her dream Patrick.

A young soldier, a librarian by profession and a pacifist by nature, reports for basic military service at a border barracks. Bullying reigns supreme at the unit, quietly tolerated by the officers. Private Adam resists and physically attacks the leader of the senior soldiers, but he stands no chance and later ends up in hospital. Private Banýr, an artistic blacksmith in civilian life, is even murdered by the senior soldiers. The librarian and the gypsy Aladar become the main targets of bullying. The two flee together and stage an attempt to escape across the border. Aladar is shot by the senior soldiers and the librarian is detained by border guards, but the entire group of senior soldiers is brought to trial.
